Thank you for choosing Rustic Charm Woodshop for your bespoke furniture needs.

Crafting each woodworking project is a source of great pride for me.

Every piece is meticulously handcrafted in a rustic style, utilizing reclaimed wood and sustainable materials for an eco-friendly touch.

Variations & Imperfections

Each piece of furniture I create is truly unique, devoid of mass production and intentionally imperfect. The wood I select is rich with character, boasting knots, saw marks, checks, and cracks that add to its charm.

It's important to acknowledge that every piece of wood possesses its own distinctive grain pattern and color variation, ensuring that no two creations are ever alike.

Movement

Wood is a living material, prone to expanding and contracting with fluctuations in temperature and humidity. As a result, it's natural for gaps and cracks to develop in your furniture over time. However, far from being flaws, these changes enhance the beauty of your piece and do not compromise its structural integrity.

Distressed Paint Finishes

Picture stepping into an ancient barn, discovering a piece of furniture that has stood the test of time for generations. With paint worn off in patches and scratches and nicks etched by years of use, it tells a tale of enduring resilience. Every detail, from the carefully considered surfaces to the naturally distressed edges, is meticulously crafted to capture the essence of authentic aging. Once the distressing is perfected, I apply antique wax with a delicate hand-rubbed finish, adding a touch of timeless elegance to each piece.

Wood Stain

Wood's unique characteristics mean that it absorbs stain in diverse ways, resulting in variations in colour from pictures and samples. For instance, textured areas like saw marks will appear darker, while smoother surfaces and wood grain will appear lighter. To preserve the beauty and protect the wood, all stained furniture is coated with a polyurethane finish.

Lead Time & Work Ethic

While I can't provide exact completion dates, my current lead time typically falls between 6-8 weeks. However, please note that this timeline can vary depending on the specifics of each order. Rest assured, clients are promptly notified when I commence work on their project, and I provide progress pictures throughout the entire build process.

By focusing on one order at a time, I ensure that each client and their project receives my undivided attention and dedication to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
